Catechist Formations

Course #3-00339

St. Alice is excited to host Claudia Margarita Schmitt for a level III formation. This course is 160 hours of instruction, preparing the catechist to work with the 9 to 12 year old child. Continuing with the spiral method the pillars of scripture and theology are expanded to meet the abilities of the upper elementary child. At this level the child explores historical timelines, biblical typology of the Old Testament, liturgical rites, sacraments, and additional maxims and moral parables.

Our Formation Leader
Born in Santiago de Chile. Claudia M. received her degree in
Education in Germany, and then did her master’s studies in School
Administration in Porto Alegre, Brazil. She also holds an Education
Degree in the Montessori Method from the German Academy of
Developmental Rehabilitation in Munich. Claudia M. studied in Rome
with Sofia Cavalletti and Gianna Gobbi for eight years where she
received her certification from the Diocese of Rome. During her time
in Rome, she also studied Moral Theology under Fr. Mongillo at the
Angelicum University. For the past thirty-six years as an International
trainer of Religious Education she has worked extensively with
children of various ages through adults worldwide.

Tuition
$900 total 
($450 for part 1, $450 for part 2)
$300 fee for auditors
