"So you could not keep watch with me for one hour?" - Matthew 26:40Eucharistic Adoration is time spent with Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist. As Catholics, we believe that when the priest consecrates the host at Mass, the bread and wine become the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ. This is called the Real Presence.
What Is Eucharistic Adoration?
During Adoration, the consecrated host is placed in a special sacred vessel called a monstrance and displayed on the altar.
When the Blessed Sacrament is exposed in the monstrance, Jesus is truly present, and we are literally in His presence.
Adoration is not about doing doing anything perfectly. It is simply about being with Jesus—just like sitting with someone you love.

- Talk to Jesus in your own words in your mind
- Bring Him your worries, joys, fears, and hopes
- Rest in His presence

St. Alice parish launched perpetual adoration on September 23, 2018. This means that the Holy Eucharist is exposed for adoration 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You are welcome to stop by any time for prayer.
Adoration at St. Alice takes place in two locations--the Education Center Chapel and the Main Church.
Education Center Chapel- This is the building closest to E Street when entering the parking lot
- The chapel is always locked
- A personal key card (key fob) is always required
- This is where most overnight and after-hours Adoration takes place
- The church is unlocked Wednesday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Outside of these hours, a key card is required to enter
At the entrance of the church and education center front doors is a sign indicating where Adoration is being held, either the church or education center chapel.
To visit after hours, you will need a keycard for access. Keycards can be acquired at the parish office during normal business hour or at the Help Desk in the vestibule after Mass.
We encourage all parishioners to sign up for a weekly, committed Holy Hour. This means that you are responsible for attending adoration at the same time each week. We use the platform We Adore Him to manage adoration commitments. Click below to sign up and manage your commitments.

How Can I Spend Time in Adoration?
There is no single “right way” to pray during Adoration.
You may:- Sit quietly and look at Jesus
- Talk to Him like a friend
- Bring Him your worries and joys
- Read Scripture
- Pray the Rosary
- Journal
- Sit in silence and listen
Even if you feel distracted or unsure, your presence matters.
